Funny Fridays - The Gender Anamoly

Being a 3 year old boy is difficult. Your mind tells you that you are ready to be a big boy, but your body and fine motor skills hold you back at times. Yous mind is amazed with all the new things that you encounter. You are working out your social skills by making new friends in your pre-school. But most importantly, your brain is exploding with an expanded vocabulary.

It is said that 90% of all brain development occurs by the age of five and a large part of it is language understanding. And it always makes for some funny moments when the child tries to gain command over a language... like this one.

Rithik was trying to play with a toy when Reya decided to join and take over the control... Rithik did not like the idea and promptly complained....

Rithik: Mamma! Reya is bothering me....
I ignored... Afterall, if I tried to sort out every little thing between these two, I would need 48 hours in a day.
Rithik: Mamma... Look at SHE!
Reya started laughing... "He said Look at SHE!" ha ha...
I frown... "Reya! Be nice! He is still learning to use the right words"
Reya tried to help "Rithik! It's not SHE! ha ha ha"

Rithik looked embarrassed by Reya's laughing. He stood in his signature "shy child" pose for a few seconds where he bends his head to his side and looks at the floor. He clearly didn't expect to be mocked over his language. He was probably contemplating his next move to appear a smart big boy! In a few seconds he decided his next move.

A minute later Reya again snatched the toy away from Rithik and this time Rithik was ready with his new complaint...
"Mamma... Reya is bothering again... Look at HE"

"If children grew up according to early indications, we should have nothing but geniuses.
